It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Restaurant Week! For 10 days in January, let’s skip cooking and support our local restaurants whenever we can.
Let’s try new places to discover a new favorite. Let’s order from our go-to spots to continue supporting them. In short, let’s keep showing up for our restaurants. This restaurant week feels especially significant given the pandemic and decimation of so many restaurants.
So, get ready for all the most delicious food, Nellies. As chef Anna Thomas said, ‘We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly.’
Cities around the world hold restaurant weeks to bring in new guests and continue delighting current ones. During the event, restaurants that choose to participate offer specific multi-course menus at set prices ($15, $35, or $45). The idea is to keep it affordable and easy. The idea is also to boost up restaurants.
Beyond giving directly to restaurants, the participating restaurants all agreed to give 10-percent from each meal to The Don Bosco Centers. Don Bosco is a local nonprofit that provides meals and assistance to our immigrant community.
It’s optional for restaurants to participate in the event, so we made a list of our fave restaurants who are in. Keep reading for where to dine and when. Bon appétit, Nellies!
