It’s time to get outside. Enjoy summer to the fullest and let as much fun in as possible! Kids, this guide is for you (well not entirely true- there’s a bunch of family-friendly activities with adult beverages as well). Mental and physical wellbeing has been stretched so thin in the past year or so, and we want to promote as much health and joy as possible. Read on for Nelle recommendations to have a healthy and happy summer! Stay tuned for other KC happenings and as always- do not miss our weekly weekend happenings. Do it up, Nellies! You deserve it.

Catch a show at the Gottlieb Planetarium

The Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium’s cool, ethereal atmosphere alone is worthy of a planned outing. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 with Capcom Go! The Apollo Story, best suited 10+. Take your pre-k, K or 1st grader to see Big Bird’s Adventure: One World, One Sky (to the moon and to explore the night sky). Checkout the various showings with age recommendations to find something that works for your whole crew!
