Join us: An MLK Day of Service
To celebrate MLK Day, we are hosting a Day of Service at The Nelle!
⭐️⭐️⭐️
And we would love for you to join us. This Mon Jan 17, 12-4pm at The Nelle, we are hosting two collection drives near and dear to us:
1 ) Household goods for Afghan refugees - This effort is thanks to Jane Ehinger & Janney Polsinelli, who are helping an Afghan refugee family set up their new home in Kansas City. The effort is backed by Della Lamb Community Services, which provides refugee services, early education, youth services and more for those in need.
Items to Drop Off: toilet paper ~ shampoo ~ dish towels ~ hand soap ~ cooking utensils ~ pillows ~ baby diapers ~ or anything from the list at the below link:
2 ) Blankets for KC Blanket Drive - KC Blanket Drive supplies our city’s most vulnerable throughout the year.
Items to Drop Off: blankets ~ cold weather gear (for adults only)
Right now, as many of us are cleaning out our closets or donating gifts from the holidays, it’s a great time to show up and give to these efforts.
Stop by, donate an item or two, and we'll say thank you with a hot cup of coffee or a sparkling water! See you there…
